During this event, WDMA’s committees will convene to tackle pressing industry challenges and guide the organization’s priorities for 2026. This year we will also have a guided tour of Home Innovation Research Labs, where you’ll experience the latest advancements in fire testing technology. This lab features seven state-of-the-art furnaces, including large-scale vertical and horizontal systems capable of full-scale wall, floor, and ceiling testing. Participants will gain insight into more than two dozen fire tests—covering flame spread, combustibility, smoke development, fire resistance, and penetration/firestop performance—all conducted under precise environmental and pollution-controlled conditions. Lab experts will walk you through recognized test protocols (ASTM, NFPA, UL), sample preparation, data collection, and how results directly support code compliance, product innovation, and safety standards. With the opportunity to view demonstrations or test setups in progress, this tour offers an exceptional behind-the-scenes look at the science driving fire safety and performance.
