The annual Washington Briefing Breakfast will feature keynote remarks from Members of Congress, Federal Agencies, or industry partners who will give insight on what it takes to effectively communicate the message of the industry during Capitol Hill visits and back at home. They will also provide an overview of the current atmosphere on the Hill and in the Trump administration.

9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.      WDMA Hill Issues Briefings

WDMA's government relations staff will review the specific talking points to help you to effectively communicate the industry’s position on key issues during the Capitol Hill and federal agency visits. During  this session staff will answer any questions that you may and provide tips on how to get our message across clearly and effectively.

10:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.      Capitol Hill and Federal Agency Visits

Your elected officials rely on feedback from their constituents to keep them apprised of the economic climate and to provide real-world feedback on how legislative actions impact employers and jobs in their communities. In addition, federal agency  officials often do not get to hear from the business people that their proposed regulations will impact directly. During the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to visit their members of Congress on Capitol Hill and/or meet with federal agency representatives to discuss industry issues and concerns.

4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.        Capitol Hill Legislative Networking Reception

Following visits to Capitol Hill offices, share your thoughts on your Congressional visits with your friends and colleagues at the annual Legislative Reception. Members of Congress and their key staff members are also invited to attend and it serves as a perfect way to show appreciation for our supporters on Capitol Hill.
