WDMA Call for Content

Call for Content
The Call for Content is OPEN for WDMA Technical & Manufacturing Conference

The Call for Content portal gives members and non-members the opportunity to send proposals to speak at WDMA’s Technical and Manufacturing Conference. The conference is the premier destination to participate in leading-edge conversation on emerging technologies, manufacturing applications, regulatory issues, and a wide range of topics of interest to the window, door, and skylight industry.

Fostering both technical and professional development, the goal of the Technical and Manufacturing Conference is to deliver helpful, practical, real-world information to our attendees. The event is unique and can feature a number of opportunities to include plant tours, workshops, keynote presentations, and breakout sessions.

WDMA will review each submission; however, we are only able to accommodate proposals that best meet our programming needs.

As the association leader to provide information on the recent and upcoming trends within the industry, the topics for the Technical & Manufacturing Conference include (but are not limited to) the following:

Leadership and Manufacturing Sessions: Every day brings new and complex challenges to manufacturers to remain efficient, innovative and competitive in the market. Sessions in this segment should focus on topics that help manufacturers in the following areas:

  • Applying new technology to improve preventive maintenance programs
  • Improving continuous flow process and lean manufacturing
  • Developments in digital analytics and operation metrics
  • New innovations in automation and manufacturing practices

Technical and Engineering Sessions: Window, doors and skylights products have moved well beyond simply creating passageways, letting light in and keeping the weather outside. Today’s products are a critical component that insures an energy efficient, code complaint and healthy environment for building occupants. Attendees in this track are looking for session that will help engineers understand:

  • US and Canadian model building codes and standards
  • Case studies on the improper installation and storage of products
  • Future trends in energy efficiency and sustainability
  • Impacts of state specific requirements on national manufacturers (Prop 65, TDI, Florida)
  • Changes in nationally recognized certification programs
  • Impacts of energy conservation modeling
  • Advancements in fenestration performance

This is your opportunity to meet professionals from the leading window, door, skylight and screen companies throughout North America and share your knowledge and expertise! There are a limited number of speaking opportunities, so be sure to submit your session today.
