WDMA Applauds Introduction of EPA Lead Rule Reform Legislation in House of Representatives

[Washington DC- 5/15/2015] - The Window and Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA) applauds the introduction of legislation today in the U.S. House of Representatives that would reform the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Lead: Renovation, Repair and Painting (LRRP) Rule to reduce the burden the rule has placed on the home retrofit market while protecting pregnant women and small children from lead hazards. The "Lead Exposure Reduction Amendments Act of 2015" (H.R. 2328) was introduced by Rep. Kevin Cramer (R-ND) and nine original cosponsors. Cramer is a member of the House Energy & Commerce Committee which has jurisdiction over this issue. Read more.
