The ballot of the eighth draft of FMA/AAMA/WDMA XXX-XX, Standard Practice for the Installation of Windows into Walls Utilizing Foam Plastic Insulating Sheathing (FPIS) is now open. This standard practice encompasses procedures for the installation of windows into walls utilizing foam plastic insulating sheathing (FPIS); and addresses installations for residential and light commercial buildings of not more than three stories above grade plane in height.This draft contains revisions, highlighted in red, resulting from balloting of the third draft.
WDMA is developing this document in cooperation with FMA and AAMA, and all three organizations are balloting this item simultaneously. Even if you plan to submit a ballot to either of the other two organizations, please submit your ballot to WDMA as well, so that we can achieve the appropriate number of consensus responses.

substantive change to this draft is the inclusion of new figures throughout the
document. Previously, substitute figures were used for placeholder purposes
only. The figures included in this draft are the proposed final versions of the
figures to be included in the document.
